Your own private matrix: a special report on smart systems – & tracking your life on the web w/ lifestreams
I really like the idea that we can have a recognizable digital reflection of ourselves… it’s sort of a pulse of one human in the grand scheme of things. I don’t know… will there be a government database of digital people? Who will keep it? The libraries? Will your digital lifespan end up in some attic as part of a multimedia genealogy?
Part of exploring Geneology, in the future, will include reading personal papers from, watching video of, looking at pics about, your kin… and you will have the lonely experience of watching your relative grow, and become an adult, eventually pass….
We will be able to watch our great grandparents be born, grow old and die, and our grandparents too, and we will be part of our parents life stream but as we sit in bed pondering the future of our own…. I wonder if we will worry whether it is complete.
This experience, for those that it is available to, will be humbling, and likely quite insane. Â That’s the future’s to work out.
