You ever heard of the “Mandela Effect”? Long story short, it’s a mass delusion.

To wit: The Fruit of the Loom logo never had a cornucopia, ie “horn of plenty”.

It’s where I learned the word “cornucopia”, and I am aghast and floored, and confused, and betrayed. I worry reality is not correct.

In the late 1980s Ukrainian scientists studying the dark, dangerous interior of Chernobyl’s destroyed Reactor 4 found that a black, mould-like fungus was growing across the walls and in pools of radioactive water. The fungus was not just surviving the immense radiation levels in the reactor building, but seemed to be thriving – even growing towards the very highest levels of gamma radiation.

Some groups are looking to make synthetic melanins for use as protectorants against UV or other forms of radiation. Others think fungi could find a use in the bioremediation of radioactive waste.   • A guy made fake community access cable TV bumper ads, and it’s the most Lovecraftian and subversively frightening and tense psychological horror on the web. People were running into these thinking they were real, and a real mythology was built around it. As an experiment, whether a creative person or a film school project… I love these and think on them A LOT. I would love to be part of creating something this profoundly disturbing. They are about 1 – 3 minutes apiece, there’s 9. They are really brilliant.
