I am not an economist, tax person, or financial smartie, so grain of salt-
HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH MONEY? Can you ever have enough?

My thoughts?
There is no such thing as enough. Personally, I think it’s because our tax system should be sales tax based, and not off income but consumption. As we move to a service economy from a manufacturing economy, consumption will be less frivolous except for those that can afford it, and a consumptive tax won’t slow consumption in an economy of spending based on need for 99% of people, while it’s based off want for those that can afford, and *choose* to afford, stuff…..
The question is effectively moot for the 99.999% of us that cannot make strides to get ahead in income, or savings, because the government takes SO much of our money versus those who have the finances and capital to exploit the loopholes. It always kills me that the right says 47% live on handouts from the gov, etc…. while their tax breaks and subsidies effectively make them the biggest welfare recipients in the world. They control the money, money controls power, and that’s why you will never see a fair tax on a yacht, versus the way my income gets taken from me. Tax the people that choose to afford luxuries, but don’t tax the same rich people who choose to live responsible, frugal lives, while still being successful. When you start having the gov tax you near 50%, I can guarantee you they are effectively enabling our divine right to become more self centered and greedy. How do you get ahead then? You don’t. How much money is enough? For almost all of us, the answer is “There will never be enough”…
Not even because of greed, but because of the unknowns in this world of healthcare and litigation and surprises…. That Forbes article is a great read. Also, the subtweets on their tweet are interesting:
