I was listening to Chinese Man’s “Ta-Bom” and really wanted a really big mellow summertime vibe mix, to remember for years down the road. It’s been a great year of vibe and flow. Let’s keep it going.

I think I did okay. Surprised at the recording itself. It’s just Audacity with zero mastering, so I got the levels mostly right. Woot. I did my first post-edit because I had 3 seconds that was at 45rpm for a 33, and altered that with Audacity effects. If you notice it, I’ll buy you a drink. The mixing isn’t the destination, it’s the journey on the way there to see how badly I mixed.

BPM builds slowly into a beach party. I think there’s a weird flow and it works. A nice little story of a podcast for 2.5 hours, with some storytelling from Carl Sagan, Gil-Scott Heron, and Werner Herzog.

I really hope you enjoy. This is a long road trip mix, sitting at the beach mix, barbecuing mix…
