Frankly… maybe yes, maybe no. I think each individual human looked inside themselves and made personal decisions. In this economy, people are understanding what life is really about… and how short it is. I can’t blame people that want to move on and focus on the happiness they can derive from what’s around them, rather than beat their heads into a wall with bureaucracy and out of control complexity. Everyone has that inexorable drive to understand themselves, but it’s so often that it’s too inconvenient or difficult to listen. Changing your life in such a major way isn’t simple, or done flippantly – it’s likely easier to just rot and fester while you waste your life away.
