I think I need to point out that I am amazed execution vans are a thing (below), but to make capitalists salivate at the efficiency of a communist program is just a weird thing, friends.
Imma start with a tribute to SF. WE COMIN’ BACK BABY. I can’t imagine being anywhere else (but we’re talking about it). Watch “Last Black Man in San Francisco” it’s a vision of what film is meant to be. But like the below, you might cry. I can’t believe the below little vid. It’s got to be the cable car bell, but I tear up each time. Stupid eyes.

- 60th anniversary of being in space, the story of Yuri’s landing is a gem. He wasn’t just the first man in space. - (DARPA) plans to turn the long-studied concept of a nuclear thermal rocket into a reality. The technology isn’t powerful enough to launch a rocket from Earth, but could give a spacecraft propulsion for an extended period once in space. This would make it ideal for prolonged manoeuvring in orbit or in deep-space missions requiring acceleration and deceleration. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2274199-the-us-plans-to-put-a-nuclear-powered-rocket-in-orbit-by-2025/
- The clearly weird situation of Boston Dynamics making stuff that they then say they’re shocked how it’s used (as intended) is clear cognitive dissonance. I can’t imagine being in that company *RIGHT AT THIS POINT*, where what they make is being used. Of course, the batteries might need more range: https://futurism.com/boston-dynamics-robot-battery-combat-drill
However, I have zero expectation of privacy in public, I don’t get *what* privacy concerns there are with the police patrolling with this robot dog spot, but I also don’t get what they’re doing with it. I’m down with life saving robots, like hostage or bomb stuff, but what’s the point of walking spot unless you’re saying “we’ve robots and we’ll use them”, which isn’t community policing vs virtue signaling toxicity. Still, I don’t see any issue with privacy or policing if they have an actual point:

I mused:
I’m overwhelmed with ambivalence in regards to this whole thing. It’s wild tech. Philosophically, it’s also somewhat unsettling to see art, a form of expression to relate the human condition?, created by something that doesn’t exist. What does the art mean to it? Nothing I suppose. And I get it always starts with a human, but it’s just fascinating to think about what’s happening here, and where we’re headed.

- So I was working on a project and was trying to peel apart the confusion of the orientation of our home. We’re not sure where the back or the front of our home is. It’s complex. The front door is basically on the back of our house. That doesn’t even deal with our “balcony”, which I think is what we arrived at: What is the Difference Between a Porch, Balcony, Veranda, Patio and Deck? https://www.homedit.com/what-is-the-difference-between-a-porch-balcony-verandapatio-and-deck/
This doesn’t even talk about a damned Lanai, either, and I think that’s what it is. But interestingly, in an effort to make a “Bye Den” joke about a renovation of a den into a family room with a picture of our president Joe, I learned that the living room is termed such because it’s a horrifying thing, like a sad version of why Greenland got named Greenland. Dead people. Wait… not Greenland. Greenland was a trick name to make people think it was green. It was icy. The living room was renamed… that’s the dead people bit. It used to be for dead people to exist when they lie in state. It was a death room for corpses, and apparently the homes PR firm was like “that won’t do” and rebranded.
